Terms of Service

1. Agreement

You must be at least 13 years old to use ClosetShot, and at least 18 to make a purchase. If you’re between 13 and 18, you may only use the App with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

2. What ClosetShot does

ClosetShot uses artificial intelligence to generate new images from photos you provide. You upload a photo of an item; we return an edited or newly generated image showing that item on a different background, tidied, or presented on a model.

The images ClosetShot produces are AI-generated. They are not photographs of your item. Please read the AI Disclosure — it forms part of these Terms.

3. Your account and credits

Some features require payment. We sell credit packs (one-time purchases) and subscriptions (recurring) through the Apple App Store. The unit the App uses is credits.

• Packs do not expire. Unused pack credits remain available in your account.
• Subscriptions provide a set number of credits per billing period. Unused credits do not roll over and expire at the end of each period.
• All purchases are processed by Apple and governed by Apple’s terms. We do not handle your payment details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.
• We may change prices or the number of credits included in a plan. Changes to an active subscription take effect at your next renewal, and we’ll tell you in advance.

Charges and refunds

Credits are charged when generation begins. If generation fails on our side, we automatically return the charge. We do not automatically refund credits that generated successfully but that you didn’t like — AI output varies, and this is part of how the service works. If something goes genuinely wrong, contact us at hello@closetshot.com and we’ll look at it. Purchase refunds are handled by Apple under their policies; we can’t issue them directly.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos you upload. We don’t claim any ownership of them.

You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit your photos to our AI processing providers solely to generate your images and deliver the service. This licence ends when your images are deleted.

We do not use your photos to train AI models. Not ours, and we contractually require that our providers don’t either.

You own the images ClosetShot generates for you, to the extent ownership is available under law (see the AI Disclosure on copyright limitations). You may use them commercially — including in marketplace listings, advertising, and social media — on any paid plan and on the free tier.

5. What you must not upload

You confirm that you have the right to upload every photo you submit, and that you will not upload:

• Photos you don’t own or have permission to use
• Photos of other people without their consent
• Photos of children, or any content involving minors
• Sexual, violent, hateful, or illegal content
• Counterfeit goods, or items you cannot legally sell
• Content that infringes anyone’s copyright, trademark, or other rights

We may remove content and suspend accounts that breach this.

6. Your responsibility as a seller

This is important, so it’s stated plainly:

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your listings. ClosetShot generates images that change the background, presentation, or setting of your item. AI generation can introduce inaccuracies — colours can shift, textures can change, details can be rendered imperfectly.

Before you publish any ClosetShot image in a listing:

• Check the image accurately represents the item you will actually ship
• Do not use a generated image that misrepresents colour, condition, size, materials, or included accessories
• Include your own unedited photos alongside generated ones where the marketplace requires or where condition matters
• Follow the rules of the marketplace you’re selling on — eBay, Etsy, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, and others have their own policies on edited and AI-generated images, and those policies change

We design ClosetShot to preserve your item faithfully, including preserving visible wear and damage. But we cannot guarantee it, and we are not responsible for listing disputes, returns, removed listings, account suspensions, or buyer claims arising from images you choose to publish.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep ClosetShot running but don’t guarantee uninterrupted service. We depend on third-party AI providers and may change providers, models, features, limits, or pricing. We may suspend or discontinue the service, in which case we’ll give reasonable notice and, where a subscription is affected, a pro-rata refund via Apple where possible.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that generated images will meet your expectations, be free of errors, or be suitable for any particular marketplace.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the App is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD 50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost sales, or lost business.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of content you upload, images you publish, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. On termination, unused credits are forfeited except where refund is required by law.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in the App or by other reasonable means before they take effect. Continuing to use the App after that means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the jurisdiction in which Asian Digital Mind LLC is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

13. Apple

Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no responsibility for the App. Apple has no obligation to provide support. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.
